An estimated 30,000 people participated in the 18th annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure in Toronto started at Nathan Phillips Square. The five and one kilometre run/walk has participants raise funds in support of breast cancer research, education and awareness initiatives. The event takes place in 56 communities across the country. Two members of the Jonas Brothers – Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas – took to the main stage after the run to screams of adoring female fans young and old. School team winners from St. Clements private school in Toronto got to pose with the special guests. Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CEO Sandra Palmaro, student Maura Mohan, 17, school team capt.
