Contest Winners Play Against JB In Kickball Game

Five Jonas Brothers fans have enjoyed a weekend with their idols after winning the Green Screen Community video contest during the singing trio’s recent world tour.

The winners, along with their family and friends, were hosted this past weekend by Verizon Wireless and LG Mobile Phones, compliments of Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun, for the weekend. Their played kickball with Kevin, Nick and Joe at the Kick for Change event at the Dodd Stadium in Norwich, and enjoyed a concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

The winners created their videos live at the Jonas Brothers concert venues on their Verizon Wireless mobile phones or from their computers. The videos with the highest number of votes was declared the winner each week.

Brittany Ilardi was voted by the Jonas Brothers as the Grand Prize winner. She, along with nine friends and family members, played the first kickball game against the band. Other winners were Holli Richardson, Samantha Thompson, Krista Payloff and Ruby Lindberg.

The Kick for Change event gave tickets to the game to community members who gave back. It highlighted the tween idols’ Change for the Children Foundation, which aims to support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed.

Other local organizations that took part in the program was the Boys and Girls Club, the Norwich School District, the Norwich Police Department and other domestic violence organizations. The equipment and officials for the game were provided by the World Adult Kickball Association.
